Who This Is For
For Whole Life Insurance
I work with individuals interested in putting $15,000 to $150,000 or more per year (usually for between 7 and 20 years) into a custom-designed dividend-paying whole life insurance policy. This type of custom life insurance plan works best for most business owners and high income earners who are already satisfied with the amount they are saving into their retirement plan, and want the additional insurance protection, savings, control, capital, and the unique credit benefits of participating (dividend-paying) whole life insurance.
For Term Life Insurance
I work with individuals who are interested in buying 25-30x their income in convertible term life insurance to cover their full Human Life Value (HLV).
For Disability Insurance
I work with individuals who want to insure at least $5,000 or more of their monthly income against loss due to illness or injury.
For Annuities
I work with individuals who want to put at least $100,000 of their savings into a fixed-interest or indexed annuity, or convert that money into a lifetime guaranteed income.
For Unwanted Life Insurance Policies
I work with individuals aged 67-74 who no longer want their guaranteed universal life or convertible term life insurance. I shop the market for them, and help secure a buyer for the policy so they can get cash for an otherwise “worthless” life insurance policy. Minimum face amount of the policy must be $150,000 for GUL policies and $250,000 for convertible term insurance.
Who I Work With
I meet and work primarily with business owners, professionals, and a limited number of retirees from all over the United States who are interested in the strategic use of life insurance, disability insurance, and annuities to protect themselves and their family against a wide range of financial risks and uncertainty.
How Meetings Are Conducted
All meetings are conducted online using video meeting software (i.e. Google Meet) and the good old-fashioned telephone. Most life insurance applications, and other necessary related documents, are filled out, transferred, and handled digitally. If you are approved for life insurance, even your policy is delivered digitally (imagine that!).
What You Can Expect From Me
Once you’ve finished scheduling your meeting, you will receive a confirmation email with a clickable link inside it that will take you to the virtual meeting room on your scheduled meeting day. Keep this email safe—it is required to access the virtual meeting room.
Here is the 7-step life insurance planning process I use with every client:
- Schedule a virtual meeting with me. Usually this is a video chat meeting, but could also be a phone call meeting. We’ll discuss your vision for the future and what you want to do. Next, we’ll discuss your budget for the policy(s). How much time do you want to devote to understanding how your policies work? How much money are you willing to spend to insure your life, your income, or guarantee your future retirement income? What does your current financial plan look like, and why do you want to add life insurance, disability insurance, or annuities to it? We’ll discuss what’s important to you and what’s not. If you are getting rid of an unwanted policy, we’ll discuss pros and cons of selling the policy, whether the transaction is beneficial and suitable for you, as well as potential options for a sale.
- If you are considering buying a policy, I’ll gather “hard facts” from you. I need to know your income, expenses, assets, and general state of health, whether or not you use nicotine products, what your normal lifestyle is like, how you plan to pay for the insurance policy, who you want as beneficiaries on the policy, and so on. We’ll also discuss how long you want to pay premiums for (or, in the case of annuities, how much you want to set aside for the policy), what you want to use the policy for, contingencies, and other relevant details.
- We’ll agree on a policy (or policies) you need to make your life insurance plan work, and I’ll design them for you. This might take up to a week to design (possibly longer), depending on the complexity of the case, your goals, and any special considerations we need to bring to the underwriting department. However, many policies can be designed within a few days.
- I’ll set up the application for you. You’ll fill out the application, and then we’ll both sign the app and submit it to the underwriting department. If you have any questions about the application or underwriting process, please read about The Policy Design, Underwriting, And Planning Process.
- Underwriting will make a decision on whether or not to approve the policy and will send notification to both you and I. You will have up to 30 days to accept the policy.
- Once you accept the policy, you typically have 10 days to look over the policy and decide whether or not you want to keep it (exact time varies by state).
- I’ll service the policy for as long as you’re a client in good standing. I’ll service the policy for you as long as you’re a client in good standing. Over time, you’ll also learn how to do important (but simple) policy servicing for yourself. You’ll also receive ongoing information and education about your policy. If you ever have questions or problems, I’ll be right here to help you.
I provide ongoing education and support via phone, email, and video meetings. The only limitation here is I only provide service for policies I have designed and sold to you. There is no extra charge for this service. But, unlike most other life insurance agents, I also provide ongoing education and training so you can learn (over time, at your pace) how to manage your own life insurance policy if you so choose.
